Counselling, Somatic Grounding & Movement
I draw from a wide range of non-directive and directive approaches, adapting my style to suit your needs. At times this may include teaching grounding or emotion regulation skills; other times, we may simply follow an open conversation where you lead and I travel by your side as an empathetic witness. Transparency about the therapy process will be at our foundation so that we can build a strong therapeutic relationship.
I work from a culturally attuned, anti-oppressive and intersectional feminist framework, seeking to understand each person within the context of their social, cultural, and political environments. Through this lens, mental health difficulties can be seen in the light of responses to systemic injustices and therefore normalised, rather than pathologised. I am also affirming of LGBTQIA+/ GSRD (Gender, Sex, Relationship Diversity) identities and neurodiversity. Together, we can explore your story in a way that honours all your lived experiences with compassion, clarity, and care.
