Counselling ~ Relational, Somatic & Creative Processing

How I work

I work from cultural humility and intersectional feminist principles. This means that I aim to understand each person within the context of their layered identities while committing to ongoing self-reflective practice of my own biases. I integrate a person-centred approach with somatic practice and creative, directive-based work while staying grounded in relational and trauma-informed approaches. I am also influenced by psychodynamic thinking. But I am mostly looking to understand which style of communication and processing will be helpful to you.

I prioritise normalising and validating experiences over pathologising. At the same time, I honour the meaning that you make of diagnoses that you may have. I am fat-positive, and affirming of GSRD/LGBTQIA+ identities and neurodiversity.
